2005 - Delivery of the record prize by Erika Laner, vice-president of the Gustav-Mahler-Musikwochen on occasion of a concert with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra in Modena. Claudio Abbado was awarded for the new recording of Gustav Mahler: Symphony n° 6 A minor with the Berliner Philharmoniker in June 2014.
2002 - Claudio Abbado was awarded the special prize to Claudio Abbado for his strong and long-term artistic commitment and for the promotion of Gustav Mahler’s works, and particularly for the recording of Mahler’s works with the Wiener Philharmoniker, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Berliner Philharmoniker (Universal/Deutsche Grammophon), as well as for his three papers on symphonies No. 3, 7 and 9.
